Joined Beach Volleyball tournament & BBQ
Hello everybody,
we are currently trying to set up a joined Beach Volleyball Tournament (Biozentrum, Pharmazentrum, FMI & D-BSSE). It will take place on
Saturday, the 10th of August 2013
from 11am to approximately 4pm at the newly built Beach Volleyball courts at Rankhof (Grenzacherstrasse 405, 4058 Basel – http://map.search.ch/basel/sportzentrum-rankhof-haltestelle). Of course it will only take place if the weather is reasonably good…
Though it is all about the fun, we will try to play according to the FIVB rules (http://www.fivb.org/EN/beachvolleyball/Rules/rules.htm).
Just three major points:
– Teams will consist of two players (male, female or mixed)
– no setting over the net or as first hit after any serve or attack
– length of each match will be arranged according to the number of teams
To figure out if there is enough interest in such a tournament we would like you to register as a team until Friday 19th of July 2013 in case of genuine interest. Any employee of the indicated Institutes can play and teams can consist of players of different Institutes.
For registration send an email to lisa.adelfinger@unibas.ch and please indicate names and email-addresses of both players, respective institutes and a team name!

There will be a BBQ afterwards at the Birsköpfli (grills and charcoal provided).
