Dear PhD student or Postdoc,

we are inviting you to the 2. PhD/Postdoc Symposium

“ Life in Focus – Applying Advanced microscopy techniques to biological systems“

This year the meeting is sponsored by the Zurich Center for Imaging Science and Technology (CIMST) and will take place on the 6^th and 7^th of October at the ETH Zurich.

The aim of this meeting is to establish an interdisciplinary network between young scientists from Paris and Zurich working in physics, engineering, biochemistry and biology. Topics covered by the meeting will include advanced microcopy techniques, image analysis and applications to biology.

The meeting will comprise talks, poster sessions and informal discussions and provides you the unique opportunity to present your work to an international and interdisciplinary audience. Speakers will be selected based on the submitted abstract. Senior scientists will give an opening talk at each of these sessions.

Deadline for registration and abstract submission is the August 15th, 2011.
